We are planning a summer trip to WDW and I am interested in which moderate or deluxe resort has the best set up for adjoining rooms. We are a family of 5 with 3 little boys 7, 4 and 2.

We are also a family of five. Since one of your boys is under 3 you are considered a family of four by Disney. The good news is that means that you can stay at any resort in any room. Once your youngest becomes three you will be limited to POR in the Alligator Bayou, AKL or WL in deluxe rooms, or any other deluxe hotel. If you want to get adjoining rooms for more space they will guarantee this due to families. That is what we have done for the summer. We are now opting for two rooms at a moderate vs one room at a deluxe. This way we have four beds, two tv's and most importantly two bathrooms. The cost is cheaper for two rooms at moderate vs one at deluxe. You could also get two rooms at a value resort but we just don't care for them. Unless you just want two rooms with the ages of your boys I would probably just get one room. Check the current discounts out for trips through July 4th. There are great deals on rooms right now. Don't wait long or these will be gone.

All resorts can have adjoining rooms. Adjoining only means next to or near each other.

You need CONNECTING rooms, and they are all set up for that as well.

If I were you I'd lookinto the villas at the DVC resorts. It sounds like the perfect set up for you. A 1 BR villa would give you a king ed for mom and dad in a private beroom, as well as a queen sleeper in the LR. The baby could sleep in a pack n play.

There are full kitchens plus a washer and dryer. That in itself is a lifesaver with three kids!

The DVC resorts sound intriguing. Do the discount codes ever apply to these accomodation? I must admit the idea of doing some self catering is appealing. I love to eat out but a 7 day trip - 21 meals out with three kids - I shudder at the thought.

With respect to connecting rooms (thanks for the clarification) do any of the resorts have a king bed for 1 room, 2 doubles or queens for the other set up??

Thanks

Yes, there are sometimes discounts for the DVC rooms, especially if you're willing to take OKW. OKW villas are larger, and parking is at your door, but they do not offer the location that some of the other DVC resorts offer.

You might want to think about renting points from a DVC member... look

here for more info.
