Hey! My family (dh ds7 dd3) and I are AP holders and visit the parks at least once a month. A few times a year we stay overnight. We almost always stay on Harbour. Well, we’re planning on going to Wondercon in March and I need to know more about the hotels closer to the convention center. We don’t need anything fancy. Breakfast would be nice, but we’re just as likely to get Starbucks. I do want something convienent to both the convention center and the parks.
Which have easiest access to both? We also want to keep the rate down. Any have AP discounts?
Thanks for your help!

If you mean the Anaheim Convention Center, consider Candy Cane Inn. It is a quick 5 minute walk to the ACC and 8-10 minutes to DLR. Plus it has a DLR shuttle that runs like clockwork every 30 minutes. I have stayed at CCI for the D23 Expo at the ACC and it is a good option for ACC and DLR common access.

Yes, sorry I do mean ACC. I’ve priced out Candy Cane Inn for DLR trips, but it never is cheap enough for the walk to DLR alone, and shuttles are hard with strollers, I’ll check it out for this trip. Thanks!

Make sure you check to see what the parking charges are at the hotels in that area of town. Some can be 25 dollars per day and up.

I just stayed at the Anaheim Hilton in December, and you can definitely walk to the ACC from there, possibly without having to go outside. They have a Starbucks in the hotel, and an ART bus stop right out front.

For events at the convention center, we stay at either the Hilton or the Sheraton Park. With the Hilton, we get breakfast at the Starbucks in the lobby (use mobile order -- it saves so much time!). There is also a small food court at the Hilton. At the Sheraton, we use the small refrigerator in the room and bring our own breakfast items. Or we grab something from the gourmet food trucks in front of the convention center if there are any around. If you stay at the Sheraton, you can take the free shuttles to the parks from the TS lot across Harbor. For the Sheraton, we usually find good AAA rates that include parking. The Hilton has really good rates right now -- see if they cover your dates. Good suggestion above to see if there are any convention rates for the area hotels.

I’ve stayed at the Hilton and Homewood Suites. I prefer the Homewood because of how close it is to the Toy Story free shuttle. It’s smaller and has a great free breakfast (dinners M-Th too but we’ve never done those). Rooms are bright and large with a kitchen.

Hilton is huge and while the rooms are large, the whole hotel is sort of dark. It also feels like a much longer walk at the end of a park day...especially if you don’t have a room by the elevators (it’s a huge hotel).
