Taking a trip to Disney World in Nov of 2009 and my brother has ADHD, he loves all the rides but will not be able to wait in some cases. Tips?

Bring something he likes to play with - Gameboy, etc - to keep him occupied in lines. Also, his school should have strategies that they use when he needs to be in line in school - see if they will share these with you.

Get to the parks at rope drop, and you won't have to wait in many lines. Use Fastpass where available, etc.

Have a great trip!

I would strongly recommend a service like tourguidemike.com. If you click on the link from the theme parks boards, you get a discount. A good touring plan will minimize your waits to a major degree.

Besides the hints already shared, if you look in post #3 of the disABILITIES FAQs thread, you will find some other hints in past threads that are linked there.
Many people find that a planning service like TourGuideMike is helpful. Even during the busiest times, different parks and different attractions have quiet times. For example, Kali River Rapids had a wait of longer than an hour last year when we were there in early afternoon during Spring break. By late afternoon, it was pretty much walk right on. That's what having good tour information can help you with.

I have been to WDW many times with my youngest DD who has ADD and have been twice with my nephew who has ADHD. One of the things we have found is that they had a much easier time waiting for things they wanted to see. 45 minutes in line was not too much problem for something my nephew wanted to see. 5 minutes was a long time for him for things he was not interested in. Some kids are more interested the more they know about an attraction. Some, it doesn't matter, but you would be asking for trouble if you try to see 2 or 3 in a row the child thinks is boring.

My older son has ADD and the younger one has medical issues and Tour Guide Mike will keep you out of lines if you follow his plans - highly recommended.

I have taken my ADD/Asperger son to Disney a total of 5 times. We try to go off season, byt when we went in the summer we used a touring plan and did not wait any more than 15 minutes for any ride. We got there at rope drop and used fast passes.
