Hello,

I'm not sure if this has been asked anywhere else, but for my trip it will be myself and my DD. I have invited her father, but he's not the most reliable. With that when making a reservation I will be booking a package more than likely, is there a way to not add him to the reservation and if he does decide to come he could stay with us but purchase his own ticket?

Everyone in a room must be on the same package.

If he chooses to come, you may be able to add him at the check-in desk when yo arrive, and not have that. However, he will not be eligible for Magical Express, or for 60 day FastPass reservations if you do that.

If he doesn't care about FP+ or DME, you can simply add him at check-in. You could also just book room-only, put everyone on the reservation (so you can all get DME) and then purchase all the tickets separately.

This is what I would do, unless you want to take advantage of a free dining promotion. In that case, you must book a package with tickets.

If you think her father will make up his mind by the 30 day mark, you could always book all three of you and cancel him off the package before final payment is due if he decides not to go. Then you could book FP+ for him at 60 days out as well.

Also, if you plan to make any ADRs, I'd book them for three people even if you aren't sure about him. You won't be penalized if he doesn't show, and it would be easier than trying to adjust your ADRs from two people to three people.

If you make any advance dining reservations, I recommend getting tables for 3, since if you only show up with 2 people, no big deal, but trying to add a third at time of check in is often quite difficult and considered rude!

I just went through this problem. Bought a package for the three of us, then my boyfriend decided to come along and purchased a ticket separately. We couldn't add him to our reservation without us being charged park tickets for him to join our package.. This was a problem because we obviously would not do that, and we didn't want to switch to room only. When you get to the resort, you can add someone to your room on the spot. But if you planned to do the Magical Express then that is a problem.. but I called and was able to add the bf to the Magical Express and we will add him to our resort room when we get there! Hope i helped, its a similar situation

We haven't left for our trip yet. We even got our magical express luggage tags before i added him. We didnt know it would be an issue. I called just this last weekend so you're good whenever id assume!
