Additional person in room

My room reservation was made by an outside travel agency, so I need to depend on them to make any updates and changes. Here's my question since I don't think I can call WDW myself.

My one DD and I will be at a WDW Hotel for 7 days. On the 4th day, my other DD will be flying down and joining us for the remaining three days.

Is it possible to add this "third" person to our room reservation for only the 3 days? In other words, I think I will be charged $28 a day for her, which is fine, but I don't want to pay $28 a day for the entire 7 day stay when she will only be there for three days. PLUS I need to get Magical Express reservations for her.

Your thoughts?

Yes you can add another person to the room for only certain days. It may depend on the TA,but with ours I am able to call WDW directly and give them our confirmation number to do any changes or requests.

Why not have the travel agency call and add the third person? You will have to add her before you check in, since you need DME for her.

Since she's not coming until day 4 of your trip, you should be able to add her after you check in for just the days she will be there. Once she's on the reservation, you could then call and arrange DME for her arrival day. If you add her prior to arrival, she will have to be added for all nights.

I agree with this post. My DD's friend was arriving 4 days after DD and I arrived. When we checked-in, it was then that I added the friend to the reservation, noting her arrival date, and getting the extra person charge put in for those days. I don't remember if I called to arrange DME for her, or if the check-in clerk did it for us. But DME worked out fine for her. This happened in the era of KTTW cards, but I'm guessing that these days the CM can give the additional person a MagicBand when she checks-in, since she'll be a registered WDW guest.

But if you add her after you check in and not before, she will not be able to book FP+ ADR's with you all.

The OP can make ADRs for as many people as she wants. It doesn't depend on how many people are on her room reservation.

As for FPs, as long as the other DD has a ticket, the OP could make her (the 2nd DDs) FPs at 30 days, and will hopefully be able to get the same or at least overlapping times.

I've done this several times. I go for 10 day trips but my other college kids may come down for the last 4 days. After check in I get it taken care of at the front desk. They took care of everything including putting them on the MDE list. ADRs are a non-issue. Now the FP+ you would not be able to get them for her until 30 days if not on the reservation but I have never had problems getting tough FP+ for one person only to overlap with ours on anything including 7DMT. DS even got A&E the day of in the park one trip.

My Bad, I didn't mean ADR's at all. I was thinking FP + at 60 days out. Those on the reservation can make them at 60 days out, 2nd DD with ticket only, not on reservation can not make them until 30 days out. There may or may not be overlapping availablity at that time. That would be a big risk in our family that I wouldn't want to undertake.

Was your reservation for a Room only or a Package? And, how old is your younger daughter?
