Additional Fast Pass+ Question???

OK...so I have not been to Disney in a few years so the whole new fast pass+ is completely foreign to me. I did my research so I think I get it. I like to hop and feel that there is no need for fast passes first thing in the morning (we get so much done at park opening) so I was thinking of getting the fast passes before or after dinner because we have all our reservations so we know where we will be for sure....my question is if we book our fast passes for later in the day or evening can we get a fast pass at a kiosk at another park or do we have to use those first, cause if that is the case I guess we wont be able to ever get an extra fast pass. Does this make sense. Does anyone have a better way to get the most out of fast pass+????

You have to use your 3 pre-booked fastpasses before you can get additional faspasses.

Saving your fastpasses for after dinner isn't a good idea. Booking them for late morning/early afternoon is a better plan.

Are extra fast passes available throughout the day or are they all gone early? I could book late afternoon, I just hate that we have to be so tied to a schedule with all this pre planning.

If it is not a crowded time of year, you can just wing it and have these pre-booked fast passes as "just in case it is crowded" insurance for the few things you really want to make sure you accomplish. Even if you don't use them and they expire, you didn't really lose anything if you were able to experience what you wanted without them. And if they are used or expired, you can still try to get some for the park you hop to later. Or as you suggested, go with the rope drop for the first park of the day, and then get fast passes for later at the second park.

Their available as long as the attraction hasn't ran out of passes for the day. No matter when you book your extra fast passes, youre 99% not going to get big headliners (Soarin, TT, TSMM) but good chance you can get a good amount of rides at MK.

We book our FP's at our 2nd park we park hop to as you don't need most fast passes right at park opening
