Additional EMH added later?

We will be in WDW May 17-28. I know that Disney will wait until closer to the actual date to extend park hours. What about Extra Magic Hours -- is there a chance that additional EMH mornings/evenings will be added later, or is the EMH schedule pretty much set by this point? Thanks!

Not typically, although anything is possible. I would plan around things as they stand now, that's almost definitely the correct number of EMH, most likely the correct days, probably the correct times for AM and maybe/maybe not the correct times for PM.

We are also going about the same time as you in May. I agree with the PP, the only thing that may change would be the evening EMH. We'll be there the 16th - 22nd and it seems 3 of our Park days have AM EMH which won't change, one is evening EMH at EPCOT which probably won't change and one is evening EMH at MK which is the most likely to change.

We are going and have gone in May for the past few years. Generally speaking I think the EMH in the AM are set- the PM ones will be added closer to the trip. When I looked at my spreadsheet from last May MK was open until at least 10pm most nights with a few PM EMH until 12. Hope that helps.

AKL - yes, that's accurate. If it's a very busy week MK might adjust open from 9 to 8. They almost always publish later PM closing at MK, sometimes at AK/Studios, very rarely at Epcot.

They have changed evening EMH nights before, though it is rare. Memorial Day weekend 2014 they changed hours on me, moving the night EMH at HS to another night just a few weeks before the trip. I had a scramble to change my FP because the change in EMh changed my plans.

We went at Christmas time and they added morning EMH to one of the days we were going to MK fairly last minute, within a couple months for sure. I don't know how common that is though. It totally messed with my plans though having it change after I had the day all mapped out, lol.

They do occasionally add EMH as dates approach, but not frequently enough that I would count on it (unlike extending park hours, which happens all the time).

I think this was the same week we were there. I remember they changed the evening EMH for Epcot to be on Memorial day.

Just to mention...we've gone the 3rd week of April the last couple of years. Last year about 2 or so weeks before our trip, a couple of morning EMH days were swapped, specifically MK and Epcot. I feel like there may have been another change (not addition) with one of our days, but I can't quite recall...I remember the other swap as we needed to adjust some plans. Just to add more possible question marks into the mix...

I just went and checked the 3rd week in April and noticed they have a MK am EMH every morning. Also noticed on the 23rd they have Epcot's evening EMH on Sunday instead of Tuesday. They are different than our calendar for August. I'm guessing it is because it is Easter week. They even have MK listed with both am and evening EMH on Wednesday.

Yes, a little different from last year, although that week wasn't Easter last year, as you said. Yes, I'm pretty sure the hours/EMH haven't really changed since I've been planning my trip this year, therefore I'm expecting them to shuffle them around sometime soon, lol!

This is my fear. We are actually trying to avoid EMH parks, and I'm afraid that additional evening EMH nights will be added after I have already booked our FP's, causing me to scramble to change parks and FP's at the last minute. I sounds like it is possible. I'll just have to cross my fingers and hope that it doesn't happen! Grrr, I wish they wouldn't make last-minute changes since they are requiring us to finalize our plans so far in advance! I am the type of park-goer who likes to plan every little detail (and I enjoy it!) so these types of last minute changes frustrate me.
