Is the additional driver fee in Orlando $5 per day? I think I remember that is the amount, but for whatever reason, Alamo needs to make it difficult for customers to find this information on their website. Is there anyway to get this fee waived or removed? The additional driver will be my DH.

If you use an entertainment coupon ($15 off week) you get a free extra driver at Alamo. It doesn't say it on the coupon but comes up in the final price.

With the Walmart ID code of 430710 and rate code of BY, you also get an additional driver free. It's listed on the totals page. There's also a coupon available on the Alamo website for $15 off that good thru March 2006.

We rent from Budget specifically because they allow a spouse as an additional driver for free. Plus we usually find good codes/deals from them.

Thanks everyone! We usually use National because of the free driver but I just can't deal with National's prices right now. Out of sight! I guess I will try to do something through Alamo this year. Do you think they are trying to drive the tourist business over to Alamo by putting higher prices on National?

Also, if you book with Sam's Club you get a free additional driver.
