Adding ticket to MDE ??

Just received my ticket (purchased from UT), but not going to WDW until the summer. Should I add the ticket now or should I wait until I'm closer to the fastpass window? Wasn't sure if it would activate my ticket before we arrived?

The only reason to wait would be if you think you might want to return them.

Adding the ticket(s) to MDE will not activate the ticket(s.)
But, it will render the ticket(s) non-returnable/non-refundable to UT.
