If i bought a small contract now. (resale) Then later wanted to add another contract to it, if they both had the same use year like October. Would these points be all in one "account", or linked? Or Would i need to make 2 separate reservations for them?
THANKS! :) :wave2:

If you buy a 2nd contract (same UY or not) the 2nd contract is separate but the points from both are all in 1 account being pulled from both contracts...one at a time. Meaning that if you have say 100pts on your 1st (your main contract) and 30pts on your 2nd (your add-on) and you need 110pts they will take the points from your 1st contract first and then from your 2nd for the rest.

So it's all one account but still 2 separate contracts ....I believe that's how it works. Hopefully someone who's better at explaining the technical stuff will come along and confirm for me. :) You would not have to make 2 separte reservations though, they just pull what you need from both contracts;)

Here's how I understand it....

If you add-on thru DVC, they will only give the same Use Year for the add-on (since it's less than 150 points).

The contracts will be linked, but can still be sold separately in the future should you chose to do so.

I'll just add that if your points are at separate resorts, you only get the Home resort booking advantage for the number of points you own at each resort.

So, if you have 50 at BWV and 50 at VWL, you can only use 50 points to book BWV at 11 months. You can bank and borrow points for each contract individually to give yourself more points at times. In other words, if you needed 90 points to book BWV for 2005, you could use all 50 from '05 and borrow 40 BWV points from your '06 Use Year.

Yes...my example I should've mentioned was assumming you added on at the same resort;)

And, if your add-on is via resale, you will get two separate membership numbers, (unless you specify that you want them the same contract).

And I would strongly recommend that you ask them to join them to your existing master contract. Managing two accounts is a lot more hassle than managing one account with two contracts.
