Depends on exactly what you mean. We have had people visit us and yes, they just tell the guard shack that is what they are doing. But if someone is going to be staying in the room then we add their name. And we also have done it after arrival without issue but CM's are not all created equal and there have been reports of crazy stuff happening when doing that. Since it's been my own account I've taken the risk but I wouldn't with a rental nor would I want a renter to try it.
I am not talking about people staying in my room, I am talking about people visiting me while I am in florida. And almost always we do go eat somewhere. I am not sure how that is a problem. If I have someone staying with me overnight they are listed and have their own key. I got the impression that the OP had people visiting them and had rooms elsewhere, was I mistaken???
Why don't they just say they are visiting you? We have relatives in Orlando who always come over to see us. We just let the front desk know; I assume they tell the guards but we've never had a problem with visiting guests.
You mean lie? I hope you're the only one. And BTW, they check dining reservation numbers at the gate now at peak times because of all the people lying about why they want in.
I am wondering if I would have to add a child's name to the reservation. There is a very outside possibility that my DD's friend may join us for a couple of nights. She would be flying in with her grandma and dropped off with us for a couple days. She would not need a key or parking passand we would still be under the occupancy limit.I hate to bother the member I am renting points from if I don't need to.
Having overnight guests without notifying the resort would be in violation of the rules as I understand it.IMO as long as you are good on the # of people in the room, just have the kid stay. No reason to go thru the whole mess of 'adding to the room'.
