Adding people to resort reservation?

Need to add my sister and BIL to our existing DVC reservation. Can I do this online or do I have to call?

Also, they will be arriving a day later than us, very late in the evening. Can we go ahead and check them in and get their room keys, parking pass, etc or will they need to go to SSR to check themselves in?

you would have to call to add the guests. unlike booking a reservation online, once it is made--you can cancel the reservation online, but not add additional guests. Another option would be to send them specific details through an email, going through your member page, vacation center, you'll be able to find this.

Regarding their keys & parking pass. You may get their keys & pass for them. Since they will be listed as guests, the guard will let them through.

There is a 90% chance that due to a software problem adding the names will make one of them the lead name on the reservation. That may create problems since you are checking in a day before them. The lead name will also receive your DME info and tags. You might want to discuss this issue with MS.

LOL! We're not using DME, we're renting a car and my sister and BIl are driving down, so that won't matter. But I'll go ahead and just call anyway.

Just be aware! I've been confused at the registration desk with my DS who was staying at Kidani on my points, when I was staying at Jambo. They at first thought I was at the wrong resort. I've had the most confusion at AKV.

Also, I've always found it easy to leave their keys at the desk because then we can be anywhere when the latecommers arrive. For them to get the Keys has never been a problem.
