I made my ADRs months ago online, but might have to add more people to the ressie- due to more family coming. Do I need to call to do this?

Yes, to modify an existing ADR you will need to call. Note that they may not have any availability for your new party size at the same time as your existing ADR.

Online, you can try to get a new ADR for your new party size. Then if you're successful, cancel the old ADR.

thanks that's a good idea

I'm on to piggyback on this topic... as I just found out tonight I have the same situation for one meal too.

lready have ADR for 4 people and 2 relatives are visiting. I called and the CM couldn't find any availability for the 2 additional (of course not, it is a month away and it is a Chef Mickey's dinner). He recommended that I keep checking online for the 6 ppl ADR which I can then cancel the original 4 ppl ADR

BUT he also said I can try to search for ADR for 2 people (which might be easier) for same time or just within a short timeframe together and that the restaurant will be able to accomodate if we had a 4 ppl ADR and 2 ppl ADR if we request to be seated together. Is this second half true? Anyone had luck with showing up with 2 ADR reservations and being seated together?

Yes and no. I have showed up with an extra person (even three once) and was seated together. However, there have been times, we have been seated at different tables also (once at Le Cellier, once at Chef Mickey's, and once at Crystal Palace). At Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace we were seated right next to each other, but at Le Cellier we were seated completely across the restaurant from each other.

That's what I was afraid of. Needless to say getting even 2 ppl ADR around same time is pretty tough anyway, I just dont want to show up at restaurant with two ressies and have to be seated separately or argue with restaurant that the CM told me you can accommodate. I guess I will just keep stalking site for the ADR with full party head count.

To tell you the truth I'd chance it. I go to WDW several times a year and frequently meet other DISers down there. Multiple times I have showed up for ADRs and asked to be seated with others who have ADRs close to our time and probably 90% of the time we are seated together. There has only been those three times I mentioned that we were seated at different tables. I've also just showed up with an extra person or two and been seated together (although that is not an ideal thing to try:rotfl:).
