Adding people for the magic bands?

I don't know if this is legit or frowned upon.
I have 3 people in a studio and 6 people in a 2-br at OKW. Studio people are early risers, and we want them to be able to access the kitchen, etc.
Can I put 3 people who aren't coming on the reservation for the villa and give those magic bands to the 3 in the studio?
If it informs your opinion- this will seriously advance my husband's plan to construct an Infinity Gauntlet.

Just get plastic keycards from the front desk OR if any of the people in the 2br have old MBs those will work as extra door keys.

So all magic bands that have ever been activated will work simultaneously (as long as they function)? I thought only one was active at a time even if several were linked. My mistake, thank you.

Sometimes when the account gets filled with too many data points, the MBs will act up when trying to open the doors. They should work...but you can always get a key to the world room key from the front desk.

If you go under your MDE, then My MagicBands or Cards and scroll down to the "Manage MBs or Cards". Once you click on a person you will see all the MBs that they have and if they are active or inactive. All active ones should work on every trip, as long as the battery is still good or like a PP mentioned you have to many.

If the people in the villa have extra MB’ s then they can give the studio people one of their bands

While all magic bands attached to a person's MDE should work, that's not always the case. Some resorts (I'm looking at you BC!) will, at times, only allow a single, specific, band for each person to open the door to the room. Any other bands are locked out. This is something that the resort can choose to do. It's not a system wide restriction.

I've not tried it at OKW (but will be doing so in 29 days), so I don't have first hand info. The simplest solution is to just go to the front desk and ask for key cards. Then anyone can use them.

Thanks everyone. I ended up ordering 1 extra in the hope that my dad would join us, but now I think someone else will be using it. I'll bring our 2 extras and ask for keys.

If you give the other guests your existing magic bands, they will have access to your account. You could add them to the villa, just give them a different first name, like an initial or nickname. They would need the bands with access to your room only to get into the room. You could even add them as day guests when you arrive. Again, give them a different name than what they used for their reservation. As a day guest they would not be able to charge to the villa, but could get into the villa.

Good to bear in mind for future trips. I'm not worried about these guests accessing my account. Thanks for the day guest info.
