Adding Park Hopper - will it impact FP+ reservations?

Hello,

In the past we have always purchased tickets with the park hopper option. Our upcoming trip will be our first since FP+ and in pre-planning my FP+ selections, I'm actually considering buying a base ticket without the PH option. However, I'm prepared for the possibility that we may want to add hoppers after we get there. I know I can add bridge the option after I use my ticket, but I'm a little concerned about whether or not this type of change to our ticket will impact our FP+ selections.

Has anyone bridged the park hopper option after the fact, and if so, did you lose any of your FP+ reservations or did everything stay intact?

We just booked our trip for September and bought base tickets as well. In the past we've always gotten park hoppers, so my question was the same - can we upgrade to park hoppers at anytime without losing any reservations. We booked through AAA and the travel agent said we can, even before the trip, and it shouldn't change anything. I have not confirmed this though so if anybody else has experience, I'd love to hear it!

It would seem to me that it shouldn't impact your FP+ since my understanding is that the FP+ is really tied to your resort reservation and not the park tickets. At least that's the way I understand it. Maybe someone with more savy will answer but I'm thinking it shouldn't.
