Adding options to Package

Good morning! I'm helping a friend book a trip this afternoon, and I wanted to make sure I have all my fact straight. I know you can add ticket options once your package is booked, such as hopper or Water Parks, but can you add the dining plan later if you decide to do it? She is traveling with her adult daughter, and her 4 yr old daughter,so I'm not sure it would be cost effective. On the other hand, I've noticed the cost of several character meals has gone up. Perhaps it would be a good idea for her depending on how many sit down meals she thinks they may want. I figured I'd help her book the 4/3, then she could take her time to look at the restaurants and decide what they may want. If she decides the dining plan is a better option, can she add it on before her March trip? Thanks!

She can add the dining plan on later to her trip. I believe it is up to a week before travel (someone else here might know this answer for sure). The DDP will be for the actual number of nights she stays... so if she books 7 nights, then she will be charged the price of the DDP for 7 nights (IOW, it isn't included in the 4/3 discount).

Tell her to think about how many character meals she is thinking about doing, because if it is several then the DDP would about pay for itself. Also let her know that she wants to get those ADR's made soon!! Spring Break's during March, and several of us have already goten our ADR's set up.

I like the DDP because it means my food is paid for in advance, and I don't have to worry about buying the cheapest thing on the menu to appease my DH at keeping costs down. :rotfl:

Thanks for the help. She decided to book it upfront anyway, she too liked the idea of having things paid for. I did her ADR's, got LeCellier, Crystal Palace, WCC, Chef Mickey's, pretty much what I wanted! Sounds like I'm planning for me huh! I'm excited for her, it's her and her 4yo first time and a long time before I go back!

Now you can see why I found a way to get into the business of booking trips! I LOVED planning mine, and now planning other people's trips is feeding my need for Disney NOW. LOL

However, I'm still trying to find a way to sneak into someone's suitcase, so I can go again before my trip next March. ;)
