We are planning to add points on to our SSR contract.

We are trying to decide to add on this year yet or next summer. If we wait until next summer is there any chance that there won't be points available for our UY of Sept. if we go directly through Disney? Or will there always be points available?

How does this work?

Thanks!

Once a resort is "sold out", it is very possible that at any given time there may be no points available in your Use Year. You would need to wait until Disney regained your Use Year thru ROFR or forfeiture of a contract.

Recently this has been an issue for some members wanting add-ons at BCV, VWL and BWV.

Decisions decisions:confused3 I don't know if we whould just go for it now or wait a few months.

If I call our guide and pose the same question to him to you think he will give me an accurate outlook on whether we will be out of luck next summer?

I really like our guide and feel he does a great job. But this adding on thing is all new to us.

judging from the resale market the chances will be good that you will find points next year. whether through disney exercising ROFR or on the resale market remains to be seen. With resale though it can be hard to find just the perfect contract, but if you're flexible with the amount of points it is doable. we added on last year 130 points at a cheaper price per point than we got from disney during pre-sale with all the incentives. and the process was smooth as BUTTER with the timeshare store:banana: :thumbsup2 yay Tom and company!:cool1:
