Adding On, some questions

OK, we just bought 50 pts. We are already thinking that we will add on slowly, getting 25 directly from Disney (in a year or two most likely).

How does this work? Do we buy at the same place we own at (VWL). Does that make it easier to book our trips? If we got a 25 at say OKW or BCV, that doesn't allow us to book at the 11 month window for VWL does it?...using all 75 points that is.

How important is use year as well with adding on small amounts of pts at a time?

And does Disney just have these little contracts all the time or are they as hard to come by as the resale ones?

If you add on fewer than 150 points then you must purchase the same Use Year as your current contract. You can purchase any resort, not just VWL. You cannot combine points from different resorts to book at 11-8 months out. You can combine points at 7 months. If you want points at BCV you will almost certainly have to go on a waiting list for them. Disney seems to have points for the other resorts but then again, depending on the Use Year you need you may have to wait a few weeks for certain resorts. The current price is $92/pt for BCV, BWV, OKW and VWL. If the $5 discount is still available you can add on at HHI or VB for $87/pt. SSR is higher ($98?) since incentives don't apply to small point purchases. Prices are going up some time over the next 2 months.

Minimum add-on is 25 points if paying cash, 50 points if you want to finance. You can add on any number of points you like: 29 points, 43 points, etc. Once you've paid your deposit, the points will be in your account within about 24 hours.
