Adding on post 4/4

I bought my first contract resale last fall. Am thinking of adding on. If I buy the same UY will the new contract be under the same member number? And more importantly can points from both contracts still be combined at 7 months (it would be a different home resort and don't want to deal with transfers). I just wanted to confirm how this works post 4/4. Thanks!

That's been the case but this is one of the ways DVC could distinguish between resale going forward by not combining them. IMO it's a small risk but a risk none the less and in reality there have been at least a couple of times historically that they didn't combine them when they should have and wouldn't fix it after the fact.

Any ideas on whether the grandfathering is for the membership or the contract?
If a member bought a contract prior to 4/4, another after and sells the original will the member retain perks?

I haven't seen any direct info on this scenario but I feel comfortable saying that if you sold all of the qualified points you would revert to non qualified status.
