Adding on at the end of your use year

For those of you that have added on at the end of your use year:

We have a June use year, if we add on at HH (w/o using MB) will we get 2001 use year points (which would have to be banked to 2002 immeadiately)??

We did this in March a few years back. Since we were in the last month of our banking window, we could only bank 25% of our total points, including the add-ons. We lost 4 points due to this.

We have June use year also. I suspect that you will be unable to bank 2001 points since we are past the banking window.

This was our experience, but check with your guide.

We added on in Aug with a Sept use year. We added 150 points so we asked for our one time only banking option. We were able to bank them into the next year, but we can't do it again. It is a special thing they do 1 time incase you forget to bank on time. With 150 points, we didn't want to loose them. Maybe you have this option.

I added on in January for a February use year. No chance to bank the 50 points. Instead upgraded to a Grand Villa at the BWV for one night for my end of January stay I had scheduled. It was a suprise for my parents who were staying with me that one night. I will probably never stay in a GV again due to the point cost but I was going to lose them anyway.

We just added on (we still need to sign and return the paperwork) just last week with a June use year. This was a factor in our decision to go with BCV, since we wouldn't end up paying dues for points we could not use or end up wasting any points.
