Hi,

I was wondering if it would be possible to add 1 or 2 nights to my existing reservation (that contains free dining)? If so, will I get extra credits? So basically I would like to upgrade my package from 6 nights to 7 or 8 nights.

Thanks for your help!

All you can do is call and ask. It will depend on if the resort you are in has any opening for the nights you are looking to add.

Yes you will get more credits since the plan is based on the # of nights at the resort.

GOOD LUCK!!

Yes...if the resort is available you can add more nights and will get the dining credits as well. If you call and there is no availability, just keep trying as something is bound to open up eventually.

Thanks for your help. Nothing was available unfortunately. Should I keep calling every day? For how long? My reservation starts September 13th and I wanted to arrive 2 nights earlier.

Yes keep calling-you never know.

10 years ago (wow-has it really been that long!:scared1: ) I had alot of trouble getting rooms for our entire trip. I must have made 20-30 calls. At one point I had a room for the first few nights and the last nights with a 1 day gap in between. Luckily I was able to book that missing night before we left-otherwise we would have been sleeping in the van.

And last year, I had added another room to our ressie (in time for free dining) but wasn't able to get the first night, and the last night, of our stay. It wasn't a big deal the first night as it was just 3A & 1K in one room, but 1/2 way through our trip my DNiece25 flew in to surprise my DD8 and that meant we would be 4A and 1K in one room on the last night along with all of our luggage! :crowded: I wasn't able to get that last night before we left but on the night before we would have had to check out of that one room the front desk called and said we could have the extra night, and keep the same (connected) room. Yipeeee!

So, my point it keep calling, plans do change. If you are flying down, it's a little trickier of course. But you can always stay  off property those first 2 nights.

Just a few days ago, after making my airline ressies, I called and changed our ressie at POP. I didn't add any days, but I did arrive one day earlier, and leave one day earlier. However, last year I did add days to my existing (Free DDP) ressie with no problem.

One quick thought, before even calling go online and check to see if any rooms are available. That's what I did before I called POP this week. I let the CM on the phone know that I had already checked and rooms were available on Sept. 1st.

Hope this helps!

I would keep calling/checking until the last minute!

Your chance of finding a room available sadly is slim to none, closer to none. If a free dine room gets cancelled it goes back as a regular room

Yeah, I did that and both room only and package were available, but when i called there was no availability to extend my package. That was the first time I called. The second time I called the person said they can't make changes to a package with free dining at all.

I'm not going to bother calling again. It always takes them ages and it costs me 1-2 euro a call. I'll probably just book 2 nights room only.

I'm sorry they wouldn't let you do it. When I changed mine 2 days ago, it was no problem. I didn't add any days, but I did change them.

Did you just reduce the number of nights staying within the existing nights or did you change dates completely?

I tried adding to my Free Dining package as well and wasn't able... so instead of not getting extra days, I booked a room only for one night before my package starts and then another for the night after my package ends... So in all, I have 3 reservations... Hopefully they can keep me in the same room...

As for the checking online, there are packages and nights available, but as the CM told me (and we've all heard a zillion times) there were only so many for free dining... and they don't have any more at ASMu during my time for me to add to...:sad1:

I'd just book the room only and make sure you let them know you are staying longer when you check in so they can keep you in the same room! Good Luck!
