The short version of my questions:
I thought I would check with Disneyland on the first one since the procedure could change any day and I wanted the latest information. I tried calling. After being on hold for awhile I hung up and emailed. Below is the correspondence. This is my first experience sending an email. Do they always respond so poorly? It seems like they didn't even read my email. I'm pretty sure that most of the options they gave me for adding MP don't apply to upgrading an AP.
My email:
We purchased AP's in July, just a week or two before Maxpass started. We are thinking about adding the $75 annual Maxpass option to our AP's. Is the only way to do this is visit a ticket booth, or can we do it on the phone or the internet prior to arriving for our next trip? We only have a couple days on this trip and I don't want to miss our first morning rope drop.
If going to the ticket booth is the only option, can I handle the transaction for my entire family, or do they all need to be there?
We will be there on a Thursday where regular opening is 8am, but Magic Morning is 7am. What time will the ticket booths open that day?
The Response 5 days later:
Thank you for your email to the Disneyland® Resort.
You can buy Disney MaxPass online at Disneyland.com, at the box office, Guest Services Desks at Resort Hotels, Disney Desks at Good Neighbor Hotels, or via the Disneyland App. If you have already purchased your ticket, you can upgrade it the day of your visit to include Disney MaxPass via the Disneyland App (after entering a theme park), or by visiting the box office, Guest Services Desks or Disney Desks.
Again, thank you for taking the time to write. We hope you will have the opportunity to visit the Disneyland® Resort soon and trust your visit will be pleasant in all regards.
- Is there currently any way to add the $75 annual MaxPass to AP's other than going to the ticket booth? I haven't read of anything but wanted to double check.
- What time to ticket booths open if there is a 7am MM/EE?
- Can I handle this for my whole family without them being at the ticket booth?
