Adding late addition 5th person.

Is it possible to add a 5th person when we walk up to Sci-fi? My mom confirmed late that she can go but I forgot to add her to our reservation. Reservation is for Feb4th. Will keep searching but didn’t know if it was possible.

It's always possible, but it's not something I would count on. Keep checking all the way up to day of to modify your 4 to 5 or try to make separate 2 and 3 ADRs. Sci-Fi is weird in that you sit 2-by-2 , so adding that odd number could be more of a problem than just adding another person anywhere else.

I never did this myself, but some people have reported successfully adding another person on a reservation in MDE by clicking on "update guest."

Sci-fi does take walk ups too if your okay sitting at a normal non-car table. Sci-fi is a TOUGH reservation to get. Took me multiple tries with the touring plans reservation finder to secure on last trip.

No guarantee, but you shouldn’t have a problem. We were recently in that situation when my son’s girlfriend joined us unexpectedly and I was unable to add her to our dining reservations. Every restaurant accommodated us, even BOG.

And also some find more availability when trying for an even number of people i.e. in your case search for a party of six. If you make a reservation for six and show up with only five, there’s no penalty. The “cars” at Sci Fi seat six or eight, in rows of two.
