I have a 6 night package with Disney Dining booked for me and my son in mid January. we are staying at a value resort. We have made the final payment. My sister wants to join us for 2 of the days but does not need a ticket. I have a unused 3 day ticket from a couple of years ago that I can transfer to her. Can she stay in the room with us if I pay for the extra person charge? There are no available rooms that I can find at any of the resorts except the most expensive ones. She could not take off the the entire week we are going.

Yes you can add her once you arrive at the resort. You can't add her before since you have a package and by package rules all guests in the room need to have the same package features and that would include the DDP.

You will not need to pay the extra adult fee if she is only the second adult in the room.

ETA: no extra Adult charge.

Value Resort: $15 per additional adult per night
Moderate Resort: $25 per additional adult per night
Deluxe Resort: $35 per additional adult per night

Do you plan to purchase LLMP/LLSP? Be aware that she won’t be considered a resort guest for the 7-day advanced purchase. That’s probably the only downside of not adding her to the room until after arrival.

And be sure to call and upgrade the old tickets to the new dates. She’ll be charged any difference in price.

@sorbinet if you chose not to upgrade to a new dated ticket then she will need a park reservation for each day.

An unused ticket “from a couple years ago” won’t be accepted until upgraded to new dates. Now if the ticket is actually older than that (pre-2016) or a “non-expiring” ticket then yes it can be used as-is with a theme park reservation.
