How about upgrading to an AP? Are either adds possible? Has anyone ever done it?

It does appear that the City Pass might be the best deal for us (saves $60 even skipping Universal) but most of us need a 5 day PH and I was going to get an AP myself.

I suspect the answer is no but if I am lucky and it IS a possibility, how do I determine the value of the Disney part of it?

I think I have asked every out there ticket question today in the So CA forums. ;) Thanks to anyone who answers!

I know that upgrading to AP is possible. I remember from last year that the value for upgrading purposes is about the same as a pre-purchased 3 day ticket.

Upgrading by a day or two, I don't really know. I have read that people do it, but I've also read of people having a hassle to do it.

I did notice you had a few ticket questions here and the so cal park forum. I don't know if you saw this site: http://www.gocardusa.com/ They have one for LA and one for San Diego; it's sort of like the so cal city pass, but you have choices.

I don't know if Disneyland is included, but it might be fun to add up all the things you want to do and see if the GoCard can help.

LOL, I have a spreadsheet with every ticket permutation and combination from every possible vendor ... it's pretty nuts and has taken me months to put together. Getting answers to my overly-specific questions posted on the dis would help me make some decisions. Alas, I haven't found many answers. Thanks so much for the help! I am hoping someone posts if it was a hassle to do. We'll just go another route.

Upgrading to an AP isn't going to be a hassle at all. It's simple and easy. Use your MM day first, though, b/c after you get an AP you don't get those with tickets anymore.

It's just the adding days bit....that's hard.

I noticed you're going to go two days to Legoland. I've never heard of anyone wanting to do that before! Are you sure about it?

Are you going to SeaWorld? I love SeaWorld, and we ALWAYS go 2 days when we go. :) In December when we visited my brother in San Diego, we even got the "buy one day get the rest of 07 and all but 5 days of 08 for free" pass, so we could go again. :)

We upgraded from the cheap 129 to the so cal 169 pass. We now get in for free except for like 4 days this month and July?. I forget. but for us, we live about 45 min away, we work for ourselves so we go quite often. Parking is free now too. So, I would say its worth it. And it was easy, we went to the ticketbooth, upgraded, and went in the park. And we were told to come back 5 min before the park closed and we got a refund of our 11- for parking we paid for that day. Super cool. Our passes have soooo way paid for themselves.

Well, the reasoning behind 2 days at LL is as follows:

First of all, DH and boys are Lego freaks and they are more excited about LL than DL, to be honest.

The way our full itinerary is shaking out is those 2 days in LL will be weekend days. We are anticipating big crowds and slow loading rides. We want to allot 2 days just in case but if we did manage to see everything in one day, we'd do something else with that other day ... possible WAP or a 2nd day at SW though a weekend day at SW really makes me nervous. We are not good with crowds and we will experience our highest crowd levels ever this vacation.

We've been to the Orlando SW so I didn't want to plan a 2nd day unless that works best for us.

Thanks for the help.

Also, I should clarify for other posters: I am talking about the Southern California City Pass ... sorry for any confusion!

i believe you can upgrade at the ticket counter when you first give your so cal pass ticket and turn it in for the actual disney tickets. i believe the cost now to upgrade to a 4 day is like $30.
