I heard somewhere that DVC members get a discount on purchasing the Disney Dining Plan, the one that has the meals and snacks per day. Does anyone know what the discount is? Is it a better deal than the other Dining plan that offers a flat discount? We will be traveling with another family and there will be a total of 12 all 10 yrs and older. Any suggestions or info. very much appreciated! :)

I'm a DVC member, and I'm not aware of any DDP discount. There's a minimal doscount on the DDE.

We don't use the DDP, as we generally only eat at Signatures, and like to drink alcohol with dinner. So DDE that also doscounts alcohol is a much better deal for us.

There is no discount on the dining plan. You are allowed to purchase it without a package or buying park tickets. Others who just book a room are not allowed to buy the dining plan. The plan is still $38.99/adult.

Plus you have to be using your points at a DVC resort. You can't get the Dining Plan when you use points at a non-DVC resort.

Thanks for the clarification and the reminder of the DDE.

Two more questions:

1) If I book 3 studios (using points at a DVC resort) can I add the DDP to just two rooms?

2) Do I have to purchase DDP for everyone in the room?

1. If you book 3 separate reservations you should be able to book DDP for only 2 rooms.
2. You must purchase DDP for everyone in the room.
