Adding dining plan to reservation

Has anyone been able to add the dining plan onto their dvc room reservation? Does anyone know of a date when we can start adding it? Thank you.

I have not yet tried, but I have read that MS was having trouble adding them to the reservations. Not sure if it fixed yet or not.

We want it for our trip in January, so I am hoping that it will be all set for DVC by the fall when I want to add it on!

Yes I have a reservation mid February and they still can’t add it to my reservation. I check atleast once a week

Apologies, I misunderstood want you were asking. I thought you were wondering when the dining plans were going to start.

Unless you have a few kids that qualify for the child rate - they may be doing you a favor. The math does not work well for adults, but 3 kids plans + 2 Adults or 2 kids 1 adult seem to work.

In the past you could get the dining plan a few days before your first reservation, so there probably isn't any hurry.

You can buy the cup without the dining plan, they can make it active for your whole stay, even if changing resorts. Cost wise, it might be a wash.

It can work out for the QS plan when doing it just one day. Because you can now get an alcoholic drink with the meal, it helped us out.

Plus, we ate at a few places where people split a meal and that gave us a few extra on day two. Didn't save us much, but a little bit!

We are doing QS plan for January for the group because some of my guests just prefer to know in advance a food budget, even though it may not be less...based on what we figured, if people end up splitting meals, it could save a little bit over the 3 days we plan to buy it!

I was able to add it finally. It will be worth it for us because we always get the refillable mugs so take the $20-25 off the price and we can definitely eat $35 worth of food/drink in 2 meals

All DVC reservations are eligible...even ones booked for family, friends or renters.

DDP is not a perk. EVERYONE can add the ddp.
No real value , just paying for meals ahead of time.

Circling back to this thread! Has MS been able to successfully add the DDP to anyone's DVC reservations yet?
