Adding days to very old tickets

So I have 2 tickets that should have 1 day each left on them from the summer of 2001. These are completely legit tickets that my wife and I used on our honeymoon. Back then the tickets were plastic cards like a credit card. I remember that these were no expiration tickets (I think they all were back then) and had park hopper privileges.

My question is if I could add 5 days to them since I'm looking to buy 6 day park hopper tickets. for myself, my wife and 3 kids. I'm assuming it would save us a decent amount of money to add the 5 days since the first day is always the most expensive. However, assuming that this is doable, how would I do it? I'm not in Florida so I can't go to the ticket window. Is this something I can do over the phone or in a local Disney store?

No, sorry.

Thanks. Oh well. I guess I'll just hold onto them for that random time the wife and I are in the Florida area and can run up to Disney for a day.

One other question, is there any way to confirm that I do have a day left on them? I'm about 90% sure I have one day but would love to be 100% sure.

That's your best strategy I agree.

With tickets that old, I imagine you would have to call Disney to confirm and even then I'm not sure they will.

From the Tickets FAQs:
Q. How can I determine the number of days remaining on a theme park ticket?
A. When you arrive at Walt Disney World Resort, please show your ticket to a Cast Member at any of the following locations:
  • Ticket windows at theme parks and water parks
  • Concierge desks at Disney Resort hotels
  • Guest Relations at the Downtown Disney Area
If you wish to check from home, please email us at ticket.usage@disneyworld.com and include the following:
  1. Photograph or scan of the front and back of each ticket
  2. Photograph or scan of a government-issued ID
  3. Your full name
  4. Phone number where you can be reached during the day
Please keep the total email size, including attachments, below 2 MB. To ensure your email is less than 2 MB, you may need to compress your images or send multiple emails.

We’ll try to get back to you as soon as possible, but it normally takes 14 business days for a response.
