Adding Days to my ticket

We just got a 1 day ticket for MK. We are now thinking about adding an extra park day - probably epcot. Can I do this sometime during that first day and add it to my existing ticket, or do I have to get a whole new extra ticket for the epcot days. I know when we went previously we had a 5 day ticket, and during our stay we added an extra day no problem - but wasn't sure if it worked the same day for 1 day tickets.

I know you can add to any multi day ticket, not sure if you can do it with a single ticket. I'm watching to see the answer as well. I would think that you could, but not sure it's worth the little you save to waste time standing in line. It would be great if you could do it at the hotel concierge.
