5 years ago I would have said go for it! But since then, so many of the changes have hit us 2 UY owners pretty hard, so I would say not no, but HECK NO!
You can only transfer once a year, even to yourself, and your banking windows have changed, now the booking windows have changed!
Thankfully my saving grace is that both my UY's have over 300 points in 1 resort so Im a bit more insulated, but small contracts increase your exposure to all these changes and may negatively affect your vacation planning.
ETA: Ooops! Sorry I see you already purchased. I guess you will find out!
When you waitlist, make sure you waitlist using both UY's. Remember your points are separate so your waitlists are separate. If your waitlist comes thru on 1 contract, you cant use the other contract points to confirm the waitlist.
Your UY's are different so you have to keep up with your reservations and what UY they fall in. Again, not being able to transfer more than once in or out, you could end up not having the points available. My example is my UY is March and September. I want to go to
Disneyland in Aug. Well I used all my March points and I cant use my September points for Aug because they are all borrowed from the next year.
Use Caskbill's planner and keep your ressies simple is my best advice.
