Leaving tomorrow and we're considering adding the charging ability to our KTTW card....will they charge us like a debit card? Or 1 large charge at the end of our stay? Do I go to the desk the day we leave - get my total and tell them to charge my debit card that day?

You will have a lump sum to pay. I think they have a limit on how much you can put on the room before you have to go pay it off. I think the value resorts have a $500 limit before you have to pay. but then you can charge more. I like it better cause I dont have to carry my bank, or credit cards....

With ours they just hooked our cc # to it and when we checked out we just signed the reciept that had all teh charges on it.

We linked our debit card to our KTTW card. We did express check out and a receipt was left on the door the last morning. Nothing to sign that way and I have a receipt. I have done this three times now and it has worked wonderfully for our family. I only carry the KTTW and my ID. We stay in a moderate and have charged over $800 to the KTTW. As PP's stated, it was one lump sum on the last night of our stay. Hope that helps!

You can pay throughout your stay, if you wish... I did that when I had lots of Disney Rewards dollars available - I rang up the maximum you could have available at AS Sports, then paid that off that amount, then put the rest of my DRDs on - at the very end they deducted all the DRDs, and the remainder went on my CC.

I'm doing that again this year.

This is basically correct -- at the value resorts you can only charge up to $500 at a time -- if you're using debit, I believe it's like making a lump sum payment at the time you check in, and then you charge against that. You just go back to the front desk and add another payment when you're getting low. When you check out, any leftover funds are credited back to you. It's a little different for CC's, but still in increments of $500, since they can put a hold on your CC for that amount without actually charging it until you leave.

so my debit card has a visa logo on it, will I have to prepay with mine?

Okay thanks everyone I actually called Disney to double check and I was told

With a debit card you do not prepay

On the last day when you check out you go to the front desk and they ask
you how you want to pay for your charges, whether it be cash/debit/credit

Also, there is no limit regardless of the hotel
