Adding another day?

Hi there!

So my boyfriend and I have a trip coming up from January 8-17. The only thing is it's broken upinto a trip from the 8th-16th and then we have to check out and check in again (annoying I know) for our last day. We wanted to stay a certain amount of days and for some reason Disney said they didn't have any 10 night reservations left so this was their compromise.

My question is this. I have an 8 day park hopper right now and I know when you add more days its typically only about an extra $10 per person but since for our first reservation we are already at 8 tickets for 8 days will we not be able to add another day? So would we have to buy our park ticket at full prince and then readd the park hopper on when we have to check in again?

Any feedback is helpful.

Thanks!

The number of days on your ticket does not have to match the number of day on your reservation - that's why they're called Magic Your Way tickets. (And actually, the 8th-16th is 9 days.)

We've added a day or two to our stay on a separate res many times. Have all your park tickets on the first stay, just book the extra night as a "room only". You can have up to 10 days on a park ticket, doesn't matter if you are staying fewer days on that reservation. Have the reservations linked as a "continuing reservation" if at the same resort and same room category and you might not have to change rooms, no guarantee though. We always check in person at the front desk a couple of days ahead to see if the same room has been assigned to us so we know to pack up or not.

If your extra day is at your same resort, check-out and check-in is easy. You can go to the front desk anytime after 6am. Only problem we've ever had is that housekeeping sometimes doesn't get the continuing stay message and asks us when we are clearing the room after check out time. We call housekeeping the day before now to alert them so no one comes knocking at our door!

Sweeeeeet. Thanks! Yea I messed up the days were going Jan 8th and checking out the 16th (the following Sat) then have to check back in on the 16th, leaving the 17th. I'll edit my post thanks for catching that!
