adding another contract

we are looking at getting some more points and were thinking about buying other then okw(we have 2 contracts for okw now)
we would like to buy another home resort for the chance to book 11 months out else where
say at 11 months out we dont have enough points on the other contract say blt can we use our okw points to finsh of the resi our will we have to call back at 7 months out and add on

You would have to call back. You can only use home resort points at 11 months. OKW and BLT points are only combinable at 7 months.

So,, if you own 100 BLT points and 300 OKW points, you can use 100 BLT points at BLT at 11 months and the 300 OKW points at OKW at 11 months.

Don't forget, you can always bank and borrow to increase your points available at 11 months.

Another option is to do a split stay, reserving some days at BLT(for example) and the rest of the vaca at OKW. Then at 7 months, see if your can get the rest of the days you want at BLT. Keep in mind, don't book more points for OKW than you will need at BLT. Other wise, if borrowing, they will stay in the use year.

Sorry to barge in... so what if you have say 160 points at AKV and BLT with the same use year... you could hypothetically use 320 together at either AKV or BLT at 11 months, correct?

thanks for the help guys now as a family (folks sister my wife and i) we all have to sit down and agree on what other resort to buy into
if we cant come to an agreement i think my wife and i will buy seprate and add my folks so they can make all the resi still

You could only use 160 points at BLT at 11 months and 160 points at AKV at 11 months. But you could borrow points from your next use year so that you alternate 320 points between AKV and BLT as below:

Year 1: 320 points at BLT with current use year and borrow next year's, bank AKV
Year 2: 320 points at AKV with last year's and this year's points.
Year 3: repeat year 1
Year 4: repeat year 2
etc...
