We are staying at the wilderness lodge in August. We have booked the Plantinum package.

We just found out that my neice will be joining us half way through are stay to help watch my 2 year old. We want her to be able to take advantage of the extra hours with us, but do not want to put her on the plantinum package. As it will not be worth it for her she is only 13.

Can I do this? Without paying for the dining package

Don't think so. I believe everyone in the room must be on the same pkg. To get a wrist band for EMH she must be listed on the reservation. Some folks have posted that they've been able to add someone to the room at check in and have not had to add the dining for them, but I don't know. If you add her now though, you will definitely have to add the Platinum plan for her also for the full length of your stay.

Nope. Everyone in the room needs to be on the same package.

I have never had a problem adding someone to a room half-way through our trip. My husband travel often and sometimes can't join us for the full trip. We have also been on packages. When she arrives, just take her to the front desk and add her to the room to get a key. As long as your room does not go over occupancy, it should not be a problem. If she is over 18 though, they may charge you a daily fee.

If you added her from the start, she would have to have the same package as you have. But I have read many posts where people have had someone join them a couple days into their trip, and were told to wait until that person gets there to add them to the room. This way they can be added without having to have the entire package as everyone on the original ressie. I would call Disney and explain the situation and see what they tell you. I'm not sure what post it was, but I just read where someone just got back from a trip and did this very thing....so appearently it does work :confused3. I just have never done it so I can't say from experience....only from what others have reported doing. Good luck and I'm sure it will all work out ;).

I think you will have to have her on the same package. That how I had to do last year but it was no big deal. But as one PP said call Disney & find out. The is the best way to get an answer or at least you hope you get someone who know what they are talking about :)

When she arrives all you need to do is check her in at the desk. My DDIL and DS joined us after we arrived, I could not even think about adding them on prior to their arrival because I did not know when they could make it. I called and was told that this was the best way to handle it.

If you add her ahead of time she would need to be on the same package.

If she arrives at the hotel she should be able to be added to your room without the package. That way she will have a resort id and be eligible for emh.
Not sure how many adults are in your room, but you may have to pay for her per night if you have exceeded 2 adults in the room. However, I believe the only way she could be eligible for magical express would be to be added with the package.

You may want to call the hotel front desk directly now to ensure you can add her once she arrives. (I just did this in January)
