She will have the same benefits as you and if she ever has a credit issue they can seize the DVC as an asset to cover her debts. So make sure you are willing to take that risk with a child before adding them on.

I added my oldest daughter at the time of purchase but she was of age at the time. I've had zero issues and I've got her on all 4 of my contracts as an owner. She's now 36 years old and very stable so I have no worries. She was 21 when added.
What I wish I had done was add her to one contract because in the future I may have to change things as I have other children, one of whom likes Disney. As it stands now she will own the membership and all my points when I pass.
But, my memberships expire when I am in my eighties, so I may very well live to the finish! (I plan to!)
As noted, the method to add her to the membership is to add her to the deed. Must be 18 as noted. Cost could be as low as $40 or as high as $500. $40 means doing it yourself. To get someone else to do it, the cheapest I know of is LT transfers, cost roughly $170. Adding her means if she has financial issues it could affect your membership though I think this is a small risk. The bigger risk is related to Marriage and Divorce. And it could affect FAFSA for college. We did it knowing all of that, spent $38 and a few cents. IMO it comes down to how much benefit you/she would receive from the perks/discounts.
