My DW, DS, and I are going this spring and we have all of our ADRs. My father has decided to come down for a few days. He will not have the dining plan. How hard is it to change the ADR from 3-4? Usually a table would have seating for four, so I don't think it should be too much of a problem to add him. Any comments?

It really depends on where your ADR is. Sometimes the harder to get ADR's are booked and they can't add another person to the restaurant because of the fire code.
I had the same situation last October and I was able to add to every ressie but CRT.

You're probably right, your are probably seated at a table for four and it won't be a problem. You never know until you call. Good Luck

should not be a problem - your're right, you're already at a table for 4 because of having 3 people. Adding a 4th SHOULDN'T be a problem in most restaurants. If you had 4 and wanted to add a 5th, that could me more difficult. Call tomorrow and see if you can get them changed!

If you've already established communication lines with your concierge IPO, I would definitely get them to do the donkey work on this for you... and like the PP I would think it would not be too difficult since most restaurants have tables for two, four, six or more... bookings for parties of five will almost always block out a table for six anyway.

President's week we had to change from 7 to 8. Not a problem because adding to an even number. I would let them know at check-in.

lives near Orlando and decided to join us at a few meals on the same day. I was not happy about it.. (after 6 months of planning..) but anyway, we showed up at Chef Mickey's, H&V and Sci Fi with an ADR for 4 and told them "grandma decided to join us." There was no problem and they all walked us right in.

We've never had a problem adding a person just walking into the restaraunt. We did have trouble trying to "officially" add to the ADR, but it's never been a problem once we actually got to the restaraunt. Not sure I would try it at CRT...but otherwise, you should be fine. :)

Not that long ago I added our oldest DD to our ADRs and reservation and it was so easy. All done very quickly. Now the 4 of us are going to have a great trip!

We are leaving next week and my brother has decided to join us for a few day, bringing the party total to 8. I was able to change my ADR's everywhere but for the PSB. They had us at a table for 7 and couldn't change it to 8. So, shouldn't be a problem, but I think it depends on the restaurant. As I think about it, he'll probably enjoy the break. Actually, he could go pick up fast passes while we have breakfast.:rotfl2:
