Adding a park day to our tickets

Just making sure I understand this before I mess up: I have 5 day tickets. If we decide to add a 6th day, I need to do it before we tap into the park on our 5th day, correct? My understanding is that after we tap in on the 5th day, our tickets are considered "all used".

Our 4th day park is AK, so we could add the 6th day before we leave that evening but how late would GS at AK be open? We planned to ride FoP at close so we would be exiting after close. If everyone is linked to me on MDE, I can just add the day for everyone, they don't need to be physically with me, do they?

You can upgrade (add a day) anytime up until park close on the day you use the last entitlement -- so with a 5-day ticket upgrading to a 6-day ticket, you may do so on the 5th day even after you have entered a park. Guest Relations is open as long as guests are allowed in the park, so even after closing.

Be aware of park reservation availability. If that "sells out" you won't be able to upgrade.

Thanks! Glad I asked because I was obviously confused. LOL. I realize about the APR's possibly selling out, so it's a tough call. I just don't want to waste money on an extra day that we may decide not to use, even though it's "only" $80. I could use that $80 for ILL$.
