Adding a guest to reservation

what are the chances I will be able to add a guest onto our dinning reservations when I check-in?

Nobody can say for sure. Party size will matter. Going from 3 to 4 will be a lot easier than going from 4 to 5. It's best to find a larger reservation ahead of time if needed.

It depends on what restaurant and what time as well as going from 3-4, 5-6 or changing table sizes and 2-3, 4-5, etc.
Best option is call and modify the ADR, do it online or call the restaurant to change.
If you just show up at the restaurant with an extra person that requires a larger table, you may be told no.
