Adding 1 night at Value to our BB at AKL

We booked a BB (free dining yay!!!!) last year for AKL standard view Aug 27-September 3. It's my DH, DD 7 and DS 5. We are looking at flights now out of Toronto and Buffalo and having real difficulty finding any reasonable prices at reasonable times. We have found one that is August 26th arriving late afternoon that's 1500 CDN. We don't want to pay for another full night at AKL and are thinking of adding 1 night at All-star sports under the spring deal. My questions are - how much hassle is the split stay for one night? Will this mess up our free dining? Do we have to add dining for the extra day we are staying on site? We haven't decided if we are adding another park day because of this. Has anyone done similar?

The extra night will be an entirely separate reservation and can be room only. I'm doing the same thing and my extra night is a reservation by itself.

We have AKL next week and we added a night at the beginning at All Star Movies. Separate reservation. Last minute trip and I thought we were going to have to stay off site.

1. We've done it and didn't think it was a hassle. In the morning you can call luggage assistance or take your bags to luggage assistance and arrange to have them transfer your bags to AKL. Your bags probably won't arrive at AKL until late afternoon so take everything you need for the day with you. At AKL once you are in your room you can call bell services to have them delivered. Or, you can take a cab or uber to AKL with your luggage and check in. If your room is not ready you can leave them at bell services.

2. No. It is a completely separate reservation.

3. No. Make it a one night room only reservation and pay for dining out of pocket. You will have to pay for the night when you make the reservation because the deposit for room only is one night's cost.

4. If you want to go to a park on your arrival day you can pick up your tickets at guest relations at a park.
