Adding 1 Day Hopper Ticket to MDE

My wife and I are doing a 4 day trip and we each have a non-expiring ticket from early 2000's that have 1 park hopper day remaining. Our plan is to buy a 2 day base ticket and use the park hopper ticket for our other park day. Will it be possible to add this ticket to our MDE account? Will it be a problem that this ticket has the hopper option and the 2 day ticket we plan to buy will not have the hopper option? Want to make sure we can book FP's for all 3 days.

Not a problem at all. MDE just looks for ticket entitlements to allow you to book fastpasses for the same number of days.

The only possible issue is prioritizing tickets. In other words, you want to make sure the system does not use the hopper ticket on a day you don't want to park hop. You can prioritize by calling Disney, then to be sure, you can double check before you enter the park, either at guest relations, or any CM with an iPad can check for you.

No need to call anybody.

Just go to Guest Relations before you enter the first park and have the ticket you want to use next set to the highest priority.
Very easy standard procedure.

FP+ is not linked to any specific ticket.

Agree with above poster and just re-emphasizing to double check with someone with an iPad as you enter the park to mention you have two types of tickets attached and want to make sure the prioritization was done correctly. If you call in advance and set priorities chances are you'll be fine but it's just worth taking the extra minute right there rather than risk something going wrong and having to spend a lot of time fixing it the next day.
