Addicted to planning vacations

Think I am about to book our first cruise!!!! We like to get out of town for Mardi Gras which is what we did this year taking the kids to Disney World.

Never been on a cruise before and I'm very nervous about pressing the "accept" button and putting $500 down on a deposit.

It doesn't seem like there is as much to do on a cruise as there is at DW but everyone I talked to said the kids will definitely not get bored on a cruise. I took them to their first trip to DW and now I get to take them on their first cruise. They go on trips to Branson, MI just about every year with their dad so while I do plan on taking them to Tennessee eventually, I think it's going to be a cruise this time around.

How exciting! Where are you going to cruise to? Is it Disney?

I'm in the same boat (tee hee)! We booked our first Disney cruise, but we don't sail until October of 2015. We originally booked it for June of 2015, but when they released the schedule for the remainder of the year, I noticed we could do the same cruise in October for over $3K less! It actually falls during my kids Fall Break, so I moved it! LOL

Everyone we talk to says the Disney cruises are wonderful and that we will get addicted to them. People say once you sail Disney.........you never sail anything else. I have absolutely nothing to compare it to because I've never ever been on a cruise before. But, my hubby has been on 3. We're keeping it a big secret from the kiddos. They'll be 11 and 9 when we cruise. I'm really looking forward to it!

I'm learning all about Fish Extenders and the DIS Fish Extender groups and am looking forward to that very much!!!

We won't be doing Disney Cruise this time, not that I wouldn't LOVE to. But, if we do Carnival, we just have to drive to New Orleans and get on the ship from there. If we do Disney we either have to drive or fly to Fl which is more money and...after pricing the Disney Cruise, I almost fainted when the total came up to almost $5000. That will definitely be a trip that is planned 2 or more years in advance just to be able to afford it.

I'm in the same boat!! It doesn't even have to be a Disney trip, even though I love those. I'm forever planning a trip somewhere and to make matters worse we purchased a new camper this year so now I'm constantly looking at campgrounds and planning weekend trips for those. Feels like we've been gone more than we've been home this summer!
