Addicted to coupons I think.

I know what you mean. I feel crazy when I have gone into a store and don't use a coupon. Feel like I shouldn't have bought it if I didn't have one!!

I'm the same way! I've even gotten my DH to where he doesn't leave the house without our coupon book. We try to match coupons with sales and store coupons whenever possible which helps save even more money.

We have friends who refuse to coupon and look at us like we have a disease when we say we use them all the time. These same friends have trouble saving money so I don't understand how they can look down at using coupons. We have other friends who think that they will buy products they don't want or need if they use coupons. I don't get it. Just cut ones for the products you use...end of story!

My best savings was $22 at Target on a $100 bill. Not great, but that's $22 less I had to pay out of pocket!

Oh one more - My store discount Rotiserie chickens at 7PM on Sunday- so instead of $5.99 they are $2.99!
How did I find that out? I spoke to Customer service. Asked about "special discounts and when do they do them. They were more than willing to tell me.

day old bread is GREAT for french toast!

For shopping at Target, I love using the promotions where you buy X amount and get a gift card back (coupled with coupons). Many times, you end up spending less than the gift card amount! Plus, unlike Walgreens, you can "roll" the deals so that they can be done multiple times. These are great for getting stocking stuffers/small gifts-every guy in my family gets a razor, shave gel, etc from me in a little kit once a year. :thumbsup2

I was behind a lady in the check out line at TARGET last week.
She had a cart load of stuff-like $180 worth of paper towels,toilet paper,HBA,cleaning supplies,some food & not one coupon!:scared1:
She paid full price for everything:sad2:
...I felt sorry for her.:rotfl2:

I totally know what you mean.

My DH laughed at me when I called him to let him know I got 3 packages of Huggies at Rite Aid today for $13.
Then I told him I'd get a $15 rebate. Then I mentioned the $13 I "spent" was a free gift card I'd gotten from them anyway. :rotfl:
He just shakes his head at me now.

Couponing is addictive!!! I love it! Some weeks are really great, others not so much. This week was a not so much week. Unfortunately this week too was a week where I had to buy a bunch of stuff that was a necessity and not on sale :-(

Wish I could find a way to be one of those people that gets like $80 worth of groceries for $10!!!

Between CVS and Shaws (in the northeast) I pay next to nothing for lots of stuff! Spend a little time at slickdeals dot net and you can easily figure out how to do it!

To me if you don't use coupons you are throwing money away. I have always used coupons but more in the past couple years.
I love these sites:

I'm really starting to get into them too. My mom is taking me shopping this week sometime and setting up a few transactions for me with coupons so I can get the hang of it, since sometimes it gets confusing. Most of the stuff I get I'll just give to her (I'm 16, so the stuff I'm getting is just household items right now. Have to teach the kids while they're young!), but I'll be picking up come nailpolish and when I get my rewards back I'll have some extra cash to get some good stuff! I actually get angry when my friends pay full price for things that I know we have coupons for, I mean why would you pay full price for something? :goodvibes

I love couponing - I relocated after marriage and haven't found a job yet so I cut and print computer coupons once a week I find it to be a challenge - my husband went with me shopping a few weeks ago and was amazed that I spent $100 and saved $110 with coupon and buy one get one free. Told him it was part of my contribution since I am not working yet :thumbsup2

:banana:GOOD GIRL! keep it up!

When it's a good catalina promotion week at Acme, I'll drive the loop of 5 stores each day. Takes 1.5hrs even using self-scan but for a moneymaker, I'll do it! Dd9 yesterday built a house out of Total cereal and Campbell's soup LOL

Just learned today that ShopRite is now participating in CellFire so I've signed up for that. Acme's Avenu has been lame for months--hoping that CellFire is better. I love matching sales/promos with manu coupons AND store coupons!
