Sometimes my husband surprises me. After 16 years together as a couple that doesn't seem to happen much.

On Friday we went to Roosevelt Field Mall, we were having a family day something that doesn't happen often with work and kids and activities. We stopped by the Doorway to Dreams store. We actually wanted to see the BLT model, even though we own their. I wanted to see somthing since we have a 2BR booked for August.

While waiting to see the model DH surprised me and said he thought the ideal number of points he wanted was around 700. (SHOCKED ME) I didn't think he had a number and bought more to amuse me and the kids LOL.

So we listened to the spiel, viewed the model and left, we walked maybe 20 feet, looked at each other and said lets add on. We added on 100 more points at BLT.

Now we are already planning to add on to our AKV contract eventually as we have to keep them even.

We are already scoping out more trips for 2011, we do have a January planned and are thinking of an August trip too

Disney is our happy place and since DH retires in 4 years we have to have some plans of things we want to do.

Maybe you might want to reconsider keeping the points equal unless you plan to spend less time at BLT than AKV. As it takes more points to stay at BLT than it does AKV. E.g. during the 2011 Magic Season a 1 BR SV is 272 points per week. Whereas at BLT a 1 BR LV is 296 and MK is 361. Although the Standard view villa at BLT is slightly cheaper at 268 points but it's still only 4 points less than a savanna view villa at AKV. So if you want to stay at BLT the same number of nights as you do at AKV it will take more points.

We had a choice of $$ off per point not sure what it was (I want to say $10 or $12) or a 3 night cruise on the dream. It wasn't a fabulous incentive but we actually chose the cruise.

As our plan is always to finance and then pay off quickly LOL. Hate having debt over our head.
