Added on... questions!

I just added 120 points on...270 points total now. It is soooo addictive!

I just have 1 question. I have a trip planned with 112 '06 points and 18 '07 points. Can I bank my "free" '05 points and use them for the 112 '06 points? I know the 07 points stay there so no reason to mess with them. So basically I am asking if I can return my 06points to my "pot" and use my '05 banked points. Does that make sense?

Also...I added on at noon today and it is already my dvcmember.com account. Do I need to call and have them bank my points? It says only 30 are available to bank but my guide told me all 120 can be banked.

I agree...it's addicting. I was surprised how fast our add on was already on our DVC account. MS banked our 2005 add on points when I was making our reservation for next October. I would call MS and bank them.

You should be able to do what you're saying. You don't give your Use Year month, but the system may be saying you can only bank 30 points because you're past one of the banking deadlines. (It appears you're in the 25% banking window since 30=25% of 120, thus your use year month is probably March because Dec 31st is the 25% banking window for March contracts)

However, when you purchase a new add-on, you're allowed to bank everything even if it is past one of the banking deadlines, so yes, you can bank all 120 points. (Note: this is true only in an add-on purchase direct from Disney. It does not apply to a resale contract.)

After banking, be sure to have MS reallocate the banked points to the existing reservation, thus freeing up your regular 2006 allocation points, which then makes them available for another reservation, or to bank into 2007.

You're correct about the 2007 borrowed points so leave them assigned to that reservation.
