Added DDP after CRT reservation

I made a reservation for CRT and prepaid as required. I will be adding the DDP about 3 weeks before we arrive. We would like to use our DDP credits towards our CRT reservation. For those who have done this, which is the better way to do this? Call after adding on our DDP and getting the reservation switched to use DDP { which frankly scares me, as I have read that my reservation would be in effect canceled, and there may not be availability to re-book }, or waiting until we get there to switch it to DDP. The reservation is on our last night there if that matters.

I was charged for CRT when I already had the DDP & want to use credits for our Dec trip. I called the dining line & they transferred me to Guest Services. They redid the ressie & gave me a new confirmation #.

We're doing a split stay booked under 2 different MDEs. I have a prepaid CRT res under one MDE and the FD package under the other MDE. Would it be possible once we get there to pay via DDP instead and have our payment refunded? Not sure if they can switch it for us beforehand since the res and DDP are under 2 different accounts.

We added the dining plan late and when I called I was told it could only be changed from pre-paid to DDP once we were there... I guess it depends who you talk to.

I thought they didn't charge your card until you actually ate there. My ADR date is 8/26 and fingers crossed I get CRT I haven't added the dining plan yet either!!

If you already have the dining plan when you book your reservations, you can use the dining credits to book the reservation. You will still have to give your credit card info for the no show guarantee.

If you don't have a dining plan CRT and the 3 dinner shows will charge your credit card the full amount at the time you make the reservation.
