Added a Beach club night under 3 months out!

Hi - I have a BLT vacation booked for August (yes I called at 7 months at 9 am). But this week we were looking at photos from a trip to the beach club and boy did stormalong bay look good. So we had the idea to come down a day or 2 early to the beach club (friday or sat before my BLT vacation starts on Sunday) and spend some time at that great pool.

I called MS this morning and for Sat night had my choice of a studio or 1 BR Beach Club Villa. (took the 1 BR) I waitlisted Friday night, too.

Letting you all know this because I feel like if you call MS you can have luck so don't be afraid to try!

Love the DVC and can't wait to get in the pool!

I think you will like BCV - it's our favorite DVC resort. Not even for the pool, which is great, but we just like walking to Epcot.

We did the BCV/BLT split last summer and really enjoyed it. Hope the wait list comes through for Friday.

am glad you got your reservation and hope that I too will have some luck in the morning when I call to try for a 2 BR at 3 months out. Have tried and tried to make some family members understand the need to plan ahead and make reservations early but can't seem to get the message to sink in. Oh well if we don't get the first or second choice or have to waitlist maybe it will be a wake up call.

I guess we are both lucky! I just added a 1 BDR to to extend to two nights prior to BWV August trip!!!

Woo hoo! Good for you, the pool is awesome. We have 3 nights booked for Labor Day, last week I decided to call on a whim to add a night and lo' and behold it was available! 4 nights in a 1 bedroom for labor day! Short notice availability sometimes does happen!

It never hurts to try! Congrats and hope your WL comes through. Last year right after we closed on our resale I tried to get a 1BR at BC about five weeks in advance for a Star Wars weekend. I was expecting nothing to be available, but I actually could have gotten two of the four nights. We ended up making other plans, but it was nice to see there is sometimes availability at shorter notice.

Thanks for sharing. That is great news. It never hurts to call and sometimes call again. I have been amazed with some of the short term reservations I have booked thinking nothing would not be available. Sending pixie dust your way for the waitlist to come through. Good news- my waitlist came through today - 13 days! So now we have 2 nights at bcv before Blt. Love the dvc. Good luck to others and definitely don't be afraid to call to try. As I've said I've had luck short notice - flexibility is the key.

Booking a Friday and Saturday helps too, because of the higher points required those nights are simply not in demand like Sun-TH.

Time of year helps too, summer stays are always easier to get last minute than Food and Wine, early December, etc. peak times for DVC stays.

Enjoy your trip, that pool will feel great in August.

I've had luck booking within 7-29 days for 1 or 2 night Fri and/or Sat. add ons at BVC during fairly popular weeks. You never know what will become available at the last minute! Have a great trip!
