Add or delete one person to ADR....which is easier?

My DH and I want to eat at Ohanas one night. My DD4 loves Tink and we are thinking about using the Neverland Club while we have dinner. However, she is very fickle and may chnage her mind either way on that night as to whether she would have dinner with us or go to the club. My 180 is coming up on May 27, so I would like to know which is better to do. Should I book it for 3 and just show up at the podium with 2 (if she stays at the club) or should I book for 2 and show up with 3 (if she decides on dinner with us). I can't really make a 3.5 year old decide what she wants to do six months in advance, so I need to know what would be easier to book and easier for the CM's to seat us.

TIA!

It's easier to delete a person. If you try to add, they can tell you that they don't have availability!

ADR means that you will be seated at the next available table for your party size. We were a party of 2. Sometimes we were seated at a table for 2, sometimes at a table for 4. It won't mess them up to have an ADR for 3 and only 2 show up--they can choose to use the table for 4 or use a smaller one if available. If the ADR is for 2 and 3 show up they can have a problem with occupancy levels (fire codes) as well as table sizes.

So....make all ADRs for 3 and delete one if needed. You can even call the same day and delete one if you know ahead or do it at the podium

I'd keep the ADR for 3 people. Even if she's very last minute and you can't call, it's OK. They understand that things happen! :)

Have fun!

Anyone have any experience showing up with more people than booked for an ADR? We have had our ADRs booked for a long time now, but my mother just told us yesterday that she would like to go also. We were able to switch Boma and Concourse and get close to the time we wanted, but O'Hanas & Chef Mickeys was a two hour difference and too late for the kids. We were booked for a party of 6 and now we will be 7. We have two choices: show up and see if they will seat (wdw dining said maybe) or should we try to make a reservation for a party of one and see if they will seat us together? Chef Mickey's usually seats us at a table that seats eight so I don't think that will be a problem but I can't remember how big the round tables were at O'hanas .
My Mom said she would just stay back at the hotel those nights, but I didn't think that sounded like much fun. :confused3

I think the round tables at 'Ohana generally seat 6 but they might be able to squeeze another chair in.

In general it is easier to delete people from the ADR. We have tried to add people a couple of times and were either told that they couldn't accomidate it or increased our wait times to over an hour.

Just book for the three and if you show up with two, they will handle it fine..

Just remember the table sizes:
Typically there are tables of 2, 4 and 6
So if you have a party of 4, and only 3 show up, not much of a problem, same table.
The real problems arise when you try to go up from lets say 4 to 5, or 6 to 7
That's when you are going to move up to a table size that most restaurants have less of.

Just show up and tell them when you get there. These are not reservations, just priority seating times. From what I have seen, if you show up, they will seat you without a problem.
