We haven't even bought in yet but we are wondering about later on down the road. How are add ons done? Do you go through Disney or do you have to purchase though a resale? And is there a limit to the amount you can add on if you go through Disney?

You can do an add-on either way, but for most of us it turns out to be cheaper to go thru Disney. What you do is let your guide know that you want to add-on. The smallest amount you can add-on is 25 pts(50 if you finance). You are put on a list, and they will call you when your name is up, and points become available in your use year at the resort you want. I believe they require a down payment now, but that's a rather recent development. Some months have a huge waiting list for points, while other months have none. We wanted to add on to our March contract, and there were a dozen people waiting. We switched to our Feb. contract, and we got a call the same day, offering us 100 pts!! We took 51 of those pts, but we probably should have taken them all! :)

Adding to Cruelladeville's post...

Disney will ask for a $500. deposit on a credit card when you go on the wait list.
Your card is NOT charged until you get the points.

Also... if you are on the list and the price has gone up..you will get the "old" price NOT the new increase!! ;)
