Add-ons from Disney - how long is the wait?

I requested a 50 point add-on at OKW from my advisor Carol Ann DeAngelo 2 months ago. She tells me I am #10 on the wait list currently.

Does anyone have experience of how long they were on the wait list? I realise it can only give an indication and nothing more, but I would be very interested.

When we bought originally in 1996 I was the most sceptical person around (anything which vaguely smelled of 'timeshare' had a bad name in the UK back then) and took 2 visits, many questions, lots of maths and nine months to decide to buy; well this will be my 4th add-on when it comes through

Carol Ann said she has a chuckle each time I request more points but that 78% of purchasers do add-on. I was surprised it was quite so high - then again, maybe not

We bought SSR plus some add on BCV. We have been on the BCV wait list since January 1st for an extra 50 points.
Must ask my guide where we are on the BCV wait list.

2-3 weeks ago we went on a waitlist for 50-100 points at VWL. Since they didn't take my credit card number, I'm assuming it will be a long wait.

Not necessarily. We went on the waiting list in January for VWL, and we got our 100 points in less than a month. They didn't request a credit card in advance from us either. I think it's really just the luck of the draw (and the luck of the right UY).

Lisa, well, your add on came quickly, good for you! Since our UY is March, I also thought they wouldn't want us to be buying it before March 1.

Thanks for the input folks, and Lisa you have given me hope that it might not be too long now - although I'm sure the luck of the draw/UY does play a big part.

Luck of the draw. Last December we waitlisted for 180 points at BCV for 24 hours.

We waitlisted for 30 BWV points (August UY) in December and they came through last week.

Bobbi - You may have something on the wait for your UY to reset. I forgot to mention that our UY is Feb.

Pootle - Glad I gave you hope! Oh, and by the way... I believe the % of add ons. This is our second, and brings us to 400 points. Hopefully, this will be enough (at least until they build AKLV ).
