Add ons at New resort

Just thinking ahead-if the rumors are true and they do build a resort at the STOL-would we be able to purchase add on points? I already have 200 points, the most I would really want to buy would be 50 points more. I wonder if they will sell us add ons for a new resort? Anyone know if they did this when they opened SS? I was looking, but I think I will wait if there is a chance to buy there, that is, if they build it!

Yes, they've done this for every resort so far. That's how I managed to own at all 7 resorts, with less than 150 points each at 6 of them! (I range from 50 points at VB to 180 points at OKW).

Please forgive my ignorance but what is STOL? The last rumor I heard (not denied by my guide) was Contemporary units.

From some other posts "Word in the kingdom is that Disney may be planning to build another NEW Magic Kindgom-area DVC resort.... Where the old STOL port currently sits!!!"

There are aircraft specially designed for using short runways. Walt Disney World has a short runway, which you can see in the satellite image above. It's no longer in use as a runway, but it was used during construction and was considered as a possible way to bring guests in from Orlando's airport."

Supposedly you can see it by Fort Wilderness.

Thanks StacyPop! I hadn't hear that one yet. I wonder if they would hook it up to the monorail or if it would be short walk to use a monorail station at another resort. Of course the VWL aren't on the monorail line so the rumored one's probably wouldn't be either. That could determine if we added on even more points. We are at 520 soon to be 720 with SSR..... still a ways to go before hitting that 1000 point goal!

Rumor has it that it would be part of the Epcot monorail line. I guess it would be close enough to walk to the MK
